Napavine is one of those quintessential small Washington farm towns — quiet streets, big sky country, hobby farms scattered across the rolling Lewis County prairie, and a strong community that values neighbors and good work. Like a lot of rural towns, Napavine's dog owners aren't going to settle for a stale, urban-style boarding kennel. They want a facility that respects what their dogs are used to.
EdelHaus Pet Resort is about 25 minutes north of Napavine on I-5 — the closest premium dog boarding and training facility in the area. Our 15-acre property has been family-owned for over 30 years, and we have a long history of caring for rural dogs from communities like Napavine. Cattle dogs, working farm shepherds, hunting Labradors, even the senior pups whose owners just want them somewhere safe for a stretch — they all do well here because they're not boxed into a tight indoor-only kennel.
Our setup includes 12 indoor/outdoor kennels and 7 luxury suites with heated floors, all on 15 acres of open Pacific Northwest land. There's no group free-play, which is actually a plus for many Napavine working breeds that don't always thrive in chaotic group settings. Every dog gets their own space, daily exercise, and one-on-one attention from a small family-run team that has been doing this for three decades.
